Delaware County Futbol Club Code of Conduct
Delaware County Futbol Club strives for excellence in soccer and actively pursues the highest standards of behavior and sportsmanship. In order to ensure a safe and fun learning environment at DCFC, we ask players, parents, and coaches to sign and abide by the following Code of Conduct.
DCFC Player Code of Conduct
As a DCFC player I will:
- play to the best of my ability
- play fairly and according to the rules. I will not cheat, complain, or waste time
- respect my teammates, the opposition, the referee, and coach
- attend every practice session and match that I can and be on time
- notify my coach of any illness or injury that affects attendance/performance
- come prepared to practice and matches: I will bring a ball and water and I will wear soccer boots and shinguards. I will bring the team uniform to matches. I will not chew gum or wear jewelry when playing soccer.
- listen and respond positively to what my coach tells me
- shake hands with the opposition and referee at the end of the game
- talk to my parents or someone I trust if I'm unhappy about anything at DCFC
- I understand that if I do not follow the code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by DCFC or Indiana Youth Soccer I may be:
- required to apologize to my teammates, opposition, referee, or coach
- issued with a formal warning from the club
- dropped from the team or substituted
- suspended from practice
- required to leave DCFC
- In addition:
- DCFC or Indiana Youth Soccer may make my parent/carer aware of any infringements of the code
- Indiana Youth Soccer could impose a fine or suspension against DCFC
